Bread Pudding

Bread Pudding
(Yields)

Ingredients:
 

4 eggs 
1-cup butter
2 cups sugar
1 qt. milk
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla
4 cups toasted bread 
    crumbs, rolled fine


Directions:

(Toast your bread, roll it, then put the pieces left back in the oven, and repeat until you have 4 cups.) Beat butter and sugar together well, add eggs, then breadcrumbs, then milk and other ingredients. Serve hot.  Serve above pudding with custard made of: 1 pint milk, 2 eggs, 1 Tbsp cornstarch, 1 cup sugar.  Serve hot with pudding.  Flavor with 2 Tbsp Brandy.
