Barbecued Ribs New Orleans Style
(Yields 4 servings)
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp celery salt
1 Tbsp chili powder
½ cup molasses
1 Tbsp salt
1 tsp paprika
2-½ lbs. loin back ribs
1 8-oz. Can tomato sauce (1 cup)
¼ cup table mustard
Directions:
Combine celery salt, chili powder, sugar, salt, paprika. Rub 1/3 of mixture on ribs. To remaining mixture, add tomato sauce and vinegar. Heat and use to baste ribs. Cook over hot coals until tender, basting occasionally with the sauce. For best results boil ribs until tender. Ribs are best over coals, however your oven will do nicely.
